Sweet Protection Falconer 2Vi Mips: Features, Fit & Care Guide
Share
BUILT TO BREATHE.
A closer look at the Falconer 2Vi® Mips, the technology inside it, how it should fit, and how to take care of it properly.
The Sweet Protection Falconer 2Vi® Mips is built around a straightforward road-cycling brief: keep protection high, keep weight under control, and move enough air through the helmet to stay comfortable when the pace and temperature rise.

That makes it particularly relevant for riders dealing with long climbs, humid conditions, exposed roads and hours in the saddle. Underneath the clean shell are Sweet Protection's 2Vi® platform, Mips Air, STACC ventilation and a highly adjustable 360 Occigrip fit system.
But specifications only tell part of the story. A helmet also needs to fit correctly, work naturally with your eyewear and be looked after properly if you expect it to perform as intended.

WHAT MAKES THE FALCONER DIFFERENT?
The Falconer 2Vi is more than a ventilated shell. Several systems work together to manage impact protection, airflow, fit and the practical details riders notice during longer days on the road.

Sweet Protection's 2Vi® construction combines Mips Air with a multi-density EPS structure, impact shields, increased coverage and a variable-elasticity shell while keeping weight and volume under control.
Mips Air is designed to allow controlled movement inside the helmet to help manage rotational motion that can occur during certain angled impacts.
Sweet Protection's Superficial Temporal Arteries Cooling Channel system directs airflow through critical areas around the head to support temperature regulation.
The rear fit system allows adjustment to both helmet width and height, making it easier to fine-tune the helmet around your head rather than relying on size alone.
The Falconer 2Vi is the more ventilated member of the Falconer family, with two additional vents compared with the Falconer Aero. The focus is straightforward: more airflow for warm days and sustained efforts.
That makes the design especially relevant in the Philippines and other hot, humid climates where long climbs and lower speeds can quickly expose a helmet that does not move enough air.
FEATURES YOU NOTICE WHILE RIDING
The Falconer also includes integrated eyewear grippers, giving you a dedicated place to store sunglasses when you take them off during a climb, stop or changing conditions.
A replaceable moisture-absorbing front pad helps manage sweat around the forehead, while the wider rear opening and adjustable Occigrip system also accommodate riders with longer hair.
FINDING YOUR FALCONER SIZE
Measure around the widest part of your head, just above your ears, keeping the tape level from front to back. Use the measurement as your starting point.

Snug all the way around your head, with no excessive movement or empty space, but without pressure points or pain. When you gently move the helmet, the skin on your head should move with it rather than the helmet sliding independently.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FALCONER
Helmet care does not need to be complicated. The important part is avoiding heat, harsh chemicals and cleaning methods that can damage materials over time.
Use clean water no warmer than 30°C with mild soap. Wipe the helmet gently and allow it to dry naturally.
Keep the helmet away from direct heat and hot surfaces while drying. Let moisture evaporate naturally before storage.
Store the helmet unpacked in a cool, dry and dark place, away from heat, frost, high humidity, corrosive substances and anything that could damage the shell.
Avoid paint, adhesive stickers, strong cleaning fluids, chemicals and solvents. Sweet Protection advises against modifications to the original helmet components.
A helmet that has taken a major impact should be replaced even when there is no obvious external damage. Internal damage may not be visible during a normal inspection.
Sweet Protection also recommends replacing helmets after approximately three years of normal use, potentially sooner after heavy use or prolonged exposure to sun, heat or chemicals.
Do not leave the helmet in extreme heat. Sweet Protection states that exposure above 62°C can damage the helmet and requires replacement.
WHO IS THE FALCONER 2Vi® FOR?
The Falconer 2Vi makes the most sense for road cyclists who want a lightweight performance helmet without sacrificing ventilation, especially riders spending a lot of time climbing or riding in warm conditions.
Its adjustment range and eyewear integration also make it a practical everyday performance helmet rather than something that only makes sense on race day.
